Whether you're playing at your local club or on the DP World Tour, you want to keep your head clear on the golf course. You never know when an errant shot might hit you in the skull.
Madeline Sagstrom tried to get out of trouble on the par-4 18th hole at Vasatops Golf Club during the second round of the Scandinavian Combine, a joint event between the DP World Tour and the Ladies European Tour. Her third shot went to the left of the fairway and, unfortunately, hit the cameraman directly in the head.
Although the LGPA Tour golfer yelled “Front!” after the ball was hit, it was too late for the photographer, who fell to the ground after the blow to the head.

If there's anything to be thankful for, the ball bounced back into the fairway. So at least there's that.
Andy Roberts of GolfMagic said the 31-year-old golfer was shaken by the incident and ended up with a triple bogey on the final hole, missing the cut by three shots.
Just spoke to DP World Tour Pro Joost Luiten and Tony Johnstone from Sky Sports Golf who told me that the cameraman was unfortunately hit in the head by Madelene Sagstrom today and was taken straight to hospital but luckily he is ok. Really scary moment. https://t.co/JkakGsLX1J

Roberts also noted that the photographer had been taken to hospital and was “doing well” with only a headache.
