Sweden's Sebastian Soderberg leads by eight shots on day three of the Volvo Cars Scandinavian Mixed Championship in Helsingborg, with the closest challengers being Scotland's Callum Hill and England's Alice Hewson.
Soderberg will be looking to translate his recent good form into a first DP World Tour title since 2019, with the 33-year-old Swede heading into his home event having finished in the top three three times in his past four starts and making the cut at the PGA Championship.
He kept the momentum going at Vasatorps Golfklubb, shooting 63, 66 and 66 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday to be 21 under after 54 holes.
Hill had eight birdies and three bogeys to finish with a 67, 13 under, to become Soderberg's closest challenger.
After three rounds, Hewson is the leader of the Ladies European Tour, one shot back at 12 under along with host hope Alexander Bjork and Spain's Santiago Tarrio, who are in the same group this week for one prize and one trophy.
Soderberg started the day with a three-shot lead and he extended his lead to six shots with four birdies on the front nine.
After making back-to-back birdies on the 12th and 13th holes to reach 21 under, Soderberg lost his first shot of the week on the 14th hole.
But he bounced back to win on the 15th hole, then tied it in the closing stages to be in a strong position to win his second DP World Tour title.
He said: “Overall it was a pretty solid round. A lot of good shots and good putts, so I can’t complain.
“I have a lot of friends and family here. It may seem like I’m not taking it all in, but I am. So far, I’ve been pretty good at staying in my own zone, my own bubble.
“That’s what I’m going to continue doing tomorrow.”
