Following a disappointing performance at the 2024 U.S. Women’s Open, Nelly Korda faced an early exit after failing to make the cut. With a score of 8-over par over two days, the golfer left Lancaster Country Club with a heavy heart, leaving many in the golf community wondering: when will we see her next on the green?
As the U.S. Women’s Open concludes on June 2, the LPGA Tour shifts its focus from Pennsylvania to New Jersey, where Seaview-The Bay Course will host the ShopRite LPGA Classic, the next event on the circuit. Whether Korda will participate remains uncertain.
Currently, Korda’s name is absent from the field for the Acer tournament, which features 144 golfers, including defending champion Ashleigh Buhai.
However, fans may catch Korda in action at the Meijer LPGA Classic in Michigan, where she is tagged as “Entered.” This tournament precedes the third major of the season, the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, potentially indicating Korda’s participation.
Looking ahead, Korda aims to reclaim her title at the Meijer LPGA Classic, where she emerged victorious in 2021. This victory marked her fifth on the LPGA Tour, adding to her impressive tally of 14 career wins, including two majors.
Despite her recent setback at the U.S. Women’s Open, where a septuple-bogey-10 on Thursday marred her performance, Korda’s fans eagerly anticipate her return to form. With eyes set on the Meijer LPGA Classic starting on June 13, they hope to witness her 15th triumph on the women’s circuit at Blythefield Country Club.
