Olympic Golf Groups, Tee Times
The men's Olympic golf tournament will begin early Thursday at the Golf National in Paris, with 60 players from 32 countries competing for the third time since golf returned to the Olympics in 2016.
Xander Schauffele won gold in Japan in 2021. He won two majors this year, the PGA and the British Open, but still trails world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler in the FedEx Cup. Among Scheffler's six victories are the Players Championship and the Masters.
In the first two rounds, Schauffele will be paired with Jon Rahm of Spain and Viktor Hovland of Norway. Scheffler will be paired with Rory McIlroy and Ludwig Arbery.
Which LIV Golf players will compete in the Olympics?
Rahm won his first LIV Golf event last week in England, and he and David Puig will represent Spain, one of three countries with both an Olympian and a LIV Golf member.
Other players from LIV Golf include Joaquin Niemann and Mito Pereria of Chile, Carlos Ortiz and Abraham Ancer of Mexico and Adrian Meronk of Poland.
How is the Olympic team determined?

After that, each country will receive up to two players based on the world ranking.
