Several LIV golfers have announced plans to play on the DP World Tour in the coming weeks.
With the LIV golf season coming to an end this month, a number of players on the Saudi-backed tour have signed up for this year’s upcoming DP World Tour, with tour membership, Ryder Cup points and world rankings all up in the air.
To maintain membership of the European Tour, players must play in at least four DP World Tour events (excluding majors), which is a requirement to qualify for the 2025 Ryder Cup.
Some LIV golfers, such as Jon Rahm, Tyrrell Hatton and Adrian Meronk, chose to retain membership on the DP World Tour after leaving LIV Golf.
Despite the fines and penalties that the DP World Tour imposes on players who compete in every LIV golf tournament, many players still manage to continue competing on the European Tour.
Hatton was allowed to play in the British Masters earlier this month after appealing a DP World Tour fine, with his Legion XIII team-mate Rahm doing the same ahead of his planned participation in this month's Spanish Open.
Hatton plans to play more events on the DP World Tour calendar and has committed to the Spanish Open and the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
Rahm said he hopes to play the Spanish Open, Alfred Dunhill and Andalucia Masters to confirm his eligibility for next year's Ryder Cup.
Melonc, who won two DP World Tour titles last year before joining LIV Golf, has committed to defending his Andalucia Masters title in late October and also plans to compete in the DP World Tour playoffs as he currently sits at No. 23 in the Race to Dubai rankings.
Brooks Koepka has also signed up for the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship later this month, calling St Andrews his “favorite course in the world.”
Joaquin Niemann, who won the Australian Open last December and competed in the Dubai Desert Classic in January, said he plans to play more DP World Tour events this year.
Cam Smith is expected to play in the Australian PGA Championship and Australian Open, while other LIV players may also compete on the DP World Tour this year.

The top 70 players will qualify for the first DP World Tour playoff event, the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, from November 7 to 10. The top 50 players will qualify for the final event, the DP World Tour Championship, the following week.
