Ah, it feels like everything is back to normal in the golf world when Tyrrell Hatton bares his fangs in a big place.
Hatton is just one shot off the lead in the season finale at the DP World Tour Championship at Jumeirah Golf Estates Earth Course on Friday.
Just then, the microphone came on and he said how much he disliked playing the 18th hole, a 611-yard par 5.
“I despise everything about this hole,” he was overheard saying. “A really bad golf hole.”

Hatton continued to save par and ended the tournament with a score of 3-under 69. He is now at 8-under through 36 holes, tied for second with Rory McIlroy. One shot behind leader Anthony Rozner.
Although Hatton was clearly disappointed with his performance, he admitted he was still in a good position heading into the weekend.

“Three under is a pretty acceptable score, all things considered, but naturally you want to get better, so I think it's fair to say I was pretty frustrated,” he said. “On the positive side of the two days, I felt like I wasn’t playing the golf I was capable of and I was one shot away from the lead.
“Hopefully I can find something and play a little better and that will make this weekend more exciting for me, but I’m going to give it my all over the next few days and just hope something comes out of it.”
Hatton, of course, has long been the butt of jokes for his on-court antics.
Hatton admits to being an “angry golfer” in a hilarious video released by the European Tour in 2021.
In the video, Tommy Fleetwood conducts group therapy sessions for some of the angriest golfers on the European Tour including Hatton, Eddie Pepperell, Matt Wallace, Henry G. Stenson and Ian Poulter. Each player had some fun at his own expense, with Hatton taking the most shots. Two-time major champion Martin Kaymer even makes an appearance.
