Tommy Fleetwood could only laugh.
Sometimes, when you're faced with unprecedented misfortune, it's the only thing you can do.
Fleetwood's misfortune occurred during the second round of the DP World Tour Spanish Open at Club Campovilla in Madrid.
The Englishman was 5 under when he reached the par-3 eighth hole on Friday.
Fleetwood took precise aim from 174 yards and hit a towering iron shot that completely covered the pin and followed with his signature vow.
In fact, he was so accurate with his iron shots that his TP5x hit the pin and rocketed off the green.
Fleetwood might have tried to make birdie on the fly, but he made three more putts from 51 feet for an annoying bogey.
It was his first missed shot of the day, having been 3 under through the previous eight holes.
Still, Fleetwood dealt with the bad luck the only way he knew how: with a chuckle as he handed the club back to caddy Ian Finnis.

Hidalgo takes the lead
Spain's Angel Hidalgo holds a four-stroke lead after 36 holes at the Spanish Open.
He shot a 4-under 67 in the second round, adding to his first-round 65.
However, considering the aforementioned Fleetwood still has seven holes to play in the second round, the lead may shrink.
LIV Golf members Patrick Reed and Jon Rahm also rounded out the top 10 at 5 under.
Lahm was forced to withdraw from the LIV team championship last week due to the flu.
He arrived in time for the National Open after his wife Kelly gave birth to their third child, a daughter, earlier this week.
Rahm, who was surprised by his first 18 holes, told reporters on Thursday that his plan was just to “break 75” and then work his way into the championship he has won three times.
Earlier this week, he outlined how we hope to “play freely” in the future as the PGA Tour continues to discuss a peace deal with Saudi supporters who have broken away from the tour.
