Tom McKibbin said the par-3s in South Africa must suit him as he added an ace to the one he hit there two years ago.
The Northern Irishman's last hole-in-one came during the first round of the Investec South Africa Open in December 2022 at Blair Athol Golf and Equestrian Estate.
Back in South Africa this week for the Alfred Dunhill Championship at Leopard Creek Country Club, history nearly repeated itself when McKibbin nearly holed his tee shot on the fifth hole.
He made a great shot next to the hole, then jumped left and ended up missing the cup by inches.
In an on-field interview, McKibbin said: βIt was very close β inches.
“I actually just said to my caddy, I haven't had a hole-in-one since I last played in South Africa, so there must be something about the par threes here that I really like.”
