Tyrrell Hatton's hopes of competing in the 2025 Ryder Cup have been boosted after he was named in the British and Ireland Team Cup squad for January.
The three-day team competition will take place from January 10 to 12 at the Abu Dhabi Golf Resort, bringing together Ryder Cup hopefuls and DP World Tour stars, with Great Britain and Ireland taking on A continental European line-up led by former Open champion Francesco Molinari.
Hatton has competed in the past three Ryder Cups but his eligibility has been called into question after joining the LIV Golf League. The Briton competed in the DP World Tour in the final weeks of the season in Dubai, where he won the Alfre Durdenhill Links Championship – after appealing against the sanctions imposed on it.
