MARYLAND, South Africa (AP) — Sweden's Marcus Kinhult shot a 4-under 68 to take a three-stroke lead after the second round of the Dunhill Championship on Friday. .
Kinghut shot a 65 in the first round at Leopard Creek Country Club and finished tied for second.
He had seven birdies and three bogeys to top the leaderboard.
Dean Burmester, Dale Whitnell and Andrea Pavan are his closest followers.
No. 46 Thriston Lawrence, the only player ranked in the top 50 in the 156-man field, missed the cut after shooting a 75 in the first round and then a 72.
The tournament is the second consecutive European Tour event to be held in South Africa, following last week's Nedbank Golf Challenge.
