Sebastian Soderberg will return to the scene of his breakthrough victory on the DP World Tour as he looks to continue his impressive season at the Omega European Masters.
Sebastian Söderberg wins the OMEGA European Masters on his debut in 2019
Five years ago, the Swede impressively won a five-man play-off at Crans-Montana, Switzerland, which included Rory McIlroy, to claim his first and, to date, only DP World Tour title.
Soderberg, who has been sidelined by injury in recent weeks, has seven top-10 finishes, including runner-up finishes in Sweden, Japan and India, and is fourth in the Race to Dubai rankings in partnership with Rolex.
He will play at Crans-sur-Schöne Golf Club alongside England’s Matt Wallace, who was runner-up to Thriston Lawrence at the venue in 2022.
Matt Wallace to compete in Omega European Masters for sixth time
Wallace has had success on both the DP World Tour and the PGA Tour, with 2018 being his breakthrough year with three wins on the DP World Tour.
Last year, he captured his first PGA Tour title at the Corales Punta Cana Championship in the Dominican Republic.
The 77th Omega European Masters is part of the nine events following the Race to Dubai 2024, which will take place from August to October 2024.
Two-time champion Matt Fitzpatrick has already announced his participation, as well as Nicolai and Rasmus Højgaard, the latter being the 2021 winner of the Severiano Ballesteros circuit.
