Ryder Cup-winning captain Luke Donald will join Nicolai Højgaard, Robert MacIntyre and Sepp Straka as the latest Team Europe stars to confirm their participation in the BMW PGA Championship, amid news that Ticket+ and general admission tickets for Saturday’s Rolex Series event are now sold out.
The quartet are the latest to be announced and will join defending champion Ryan Fox and Ryder Cup teammates Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood, Matt Fitzpatrick, Sean Lowry and Justin Rose in the tournament at the iconic Wentworth Club from September 17-22, with remaining general admission tickets selling out quickly on Sunday. Tickets and premium experiences can be purchased here.
Former world number one Donald returns to the famous Surrey course for his 18th appearance at the BMW PGA Championship, having won the prestigious tournament back-to-back years in 2011 and 2012.
The seven-time DP World Tour champion etched his name into European golfing lore when he led Europe to a memorable Ryder Cup victory at Marco Simone Golf and Country Club last year.
His success and widespread popularity led to the 46-year-old Englishman being sworn in as the second Ryder Cup captain earlier this year, and his work is already underway as he bids to become only the second captain after Tony Jacklin to lead Europe to victory both at home and away.
“The BMW PGA Championship holds a special place in my heart,” said Donald. “The wins in 2011 and 2012 are ones I will never forget. Playing in front of the passionate British fans, their incredible support and the exciting atmosphere at Wentworth was an unparalleled experience.”
MacIntyre will be competing in the BMW PGA Championship for the sixth time following a strong few months. He won the 2024 RBC Open by one shot to claim his first PGA Tour title. Earlier this month, he triumphed at his hometown Open, becoming the first Scotsman to win the title since Colin Montgomerie in 1999.
Hoggard will tee off at Wentworth Club following a strong season on the DP World Tour with eight top-10 finishes and his maiden Rolex Series title at the season-ending DP World Tour Championship. The 23-year-old Dane impressed in his Masters debut in April with a tie for 16th and will be making his fourth appearance at the BMW PGA Championship this year.
Straka had a breakthrough year in 2023, and in addition to his success at the Ryder Cup, he also tied for seventh at the PGA Championship and tied for second at the 151st Open. The Austrian player is looking to build on his 10th-place finish in his first appearance at the BMW PGA Championship last September.

We will also be announcing a fantastic line-up of stage music acts in the coming weeks and of course some of the world’s top disabled golfers will be participating in the G4D @ BMW PGA Championship, which kicks off this week on the G4D Tour.

It offers members the final chance to secure their rights to play in 2025 and advance to the season-ending ‘DP World Tour Play-In’.
BMW Group owners will once again receive priority parking benefits, while all spectators will enjoy free Park & Ride and shuttle services from local train stations.
Fans are advised to purchase their tickets now to avoid disappointment, with Ticket+ packages for Friday, Saturday and Sunday now sold out, and various premium experiences also selling out quickly.
