Make no mistake: The best golf courses of the week are right across the pond.
One of the most exciting events on the DP World Tour calendar, the 2024 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship takes place on Thursday on three of Scotland’s best courses: St Andrews Old Course, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns. Golfers will play one round on all three courses before advancing to the final round, where those who advance to the final round will compete for the title at St. Andrews.
As if that wasn't good enough, every player will be teamed up with amateur players. European soccer star Gareth Bale, Denver Broncos general manager John Elway and a host of other A-listers will join a host of golf stars for the event.
Matt Fitzpatrick is the defending champion of the event and also won the team event with his mother Sue. They all come back to defend their titles.

In addition to Fitzpatrick's return, other big names in the field include Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Brooks Koepka, Tyrrell Hatton, Sean Lowry, Robert McIlroy Gentile, Patrick Reed, Louis Oosthuizen and others. Billy Horschel, winner of the BMW PGA Championship earlier this month, also competed.
Hatton and Padraig Harrington both have the chance to become the first players to win the Alfred Dunhill Links three times.
Then again, if that's not good enough, fans can get in for free three days before the game. Tickets are only required for Sunday's final round at St Andrews.
