Rolex Series champions Victor Perez, Ryan Fox and major champion Danny Willett will add further star power to this year’s FedEx French Open as the continent’s oldest national open returns to the French National Golf Club from October 10-13.
Perez and Fox both captured their first Rolex Series titles at the 2023 Race to Dubai, with Perez winning the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship in dramatic fashion and Fox becoming the first New Zealander to win the BMW PGA Championship.
This is Perez's second time playing at the French National Golf Club this season, having qualified for the Olympics in August, where he will team up with DP World Tour and PGA Tour champion Mathieu Pavon, who has already confirmed his participation in this year's FedEx French Open.
“I always enjoy the opportunity to play on home soil and it’s been special to have the chance to do so twice this year,” Perez said. “The fans are really supportive of the French players during the French Open and the atmosphere is always great during tournament week.”
“Le Golf National is a huge challenge and test and we are all looking forward to taking it on.”
Like Perez, Fox will be playing in his fifth French Open, with his best result coming in 2017 when he finished sixth. The pair have been among the most consistent performers on the DP World Tour in recent years and finished in the top 10 in last year’s Race to Dubai rankings, earning dual membership on the PGA Tour for 2024.
Perez and Fox also faced off for the title at the 2022 Dutch Open, with the Frenchman eventually winning the title after a four-hole playoff.
Willett, who won the 2016 Masters, is the second major champion to confirm a spot in a major this year, the other being compatriot and 2013 U.S. Open champion Justin Rose.
This will be Willett’s tenth visit to Le Golf National Golf Club as he continues his comeback from shoulder surgery, with his highest ranking being fifth in 2010. The English player is a two-time Rolex Series champion and has won the 2018 DP World Tour Championship and the 2019 BMW PGA Championship.
This year marks the 106th FedEx French Open, known as the oldest national open in continental Europe. Past champions include legendary stars such as Seve Ballesteros, Colin Montgomerie, Bernhard Langer, Sir Nick Faldo, José Maria Olazabal, Byron Nelson and Walter Hagen.
The tournament takes the premier position in the DP World Tour’s ‘Back 9’, which covers the Tour’s nine longest-running championships and national open tournaments, and provides members with the final opportunity to earn the right to play in 2025 and advance to the season-ending ‘DP World Tour Play-In’.
General admission tickets start at €25, with children under 18 admitted free when accompanied by an adult. A four-day season ticket costs €90, and a weekend ticket (Saturday and Sunday) costs €65. Click here to buyFor more information on the FedEx French Open Premium Experience, Click here.
