PGA Tour pro Emilio Gonzalez disqualified after completing second round World Technical Championships.
The PGA Tour's official communications team confirmed the DQ on Friday night.
Gonzalez shot an opening-round 73 on the Tiger Woods-designed El Cardonal course in Diamante.
He shot a 2-under 71 in the second round but was immediately disqualified for a Rule 18.3 (provisional ball) violation.
