PGA Tour and DP World player Espen Kofstad announced his retirement today at the age of 37.
Kaufstad turned pro in 2011, eventually making his PGA Tour debut in 2022 at the Barbasol Championship.
The Norwegian has competed in many DP World Tour events during his career but has never won a single one.
However, he did win two titles on the Challenge Tour.
Kaufstad's first win came at the 2012 DoubleTree by Hilton Open in Akaya, and he quickly followed it up with another victory at the San Domenico Finals in Puglia.
This season secured his spot on the 2013 European Tour (now DP World Tour).
Three years later, Kovstad achieved one of the biggest achievements of his career when he represented his country at the 2016 Olympics.
He finished tied for 43rd at the Rio Olympics.
Kaufstad continued to bounce between tournaments on the European Tour, but managed to make it onto the PGA Tour in two co-sanctioned events.
He also performed admirably in the United States, finishing tied for 13th at Barbasol and tied for 16th at Barracuda.
Kaufstad competed in both events again this season, but he failed to advance and finished 60th.
He also missed three consecutive DP World Tour knockout events before withdrawing from last month's Spanish Open.
Kovstad confirmed his retirement from the game today on social media.
As of today, his world ranking is 1,103.
“Thank you Golf Championship for everything,” he wrote.
“This feels like the perfect time to move on and find new things.
“Thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way!”
