After seven days and six grueling rounds of golf hampered by inclement weather, Razorback All-American Jacob Skov Olesen competes at the DP World Tour at Infinitum Golf Resort in Tarragona, Spain. Qualified for the DP World Tour in the finals of the qualifying school (November 8 -13).
Olson shot 65-71-70-66-65-73 this week to finish tied for 18th at 18 under. He had an interesting final round, bogeying the 14th and 15th holes to fall into the cut line at 18 under, but making three on the 16th, 17th and 18th holes. The par, ending his title run, helped him move into first place with 21 to protect the card.
Last summer, Olsen became the first Dane to win an amateur championship. Later, he made the cut at the British Open. Olsen then had two successes on the DP World Tour, finishing tied for fifth at the Denmark Open and 74th at the Omega European Masters. He received an exemption from the second round of Q School qualifying and advanced to the finals after finishing tied for fourth in the second stage.
