The Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship will provide an exciting showcase for world-class golf as the DP World Tour returns to the Royal Golf Club from January 30 to February 2.
Yaseen Le Falher qualifies for DP World Tour as highest-ranked Bahraini player
Fans can expect to see top stars including Grand Slam champions Padraig Harrington from Ireland and Jimmy Walker from the United States, defending champion Dylan Frittelli from South Africa and DP World Tour from Denmark Champions Thorbjorn Olsen and Jorge Campillo from Spain.
While the spotlight will be on these golfing superstars, the tournament also provides an important platform for top local talent from the region and beyond, providing them with valuable experience competing against some of the best players in the world.
Pakistan's Aadam Syed has earned his spot at the Bahrain Amateur Open with an impressive win, while local talent Yaseen Le Falher becomes Bahrain's highest-ranked player player.
England's Tom Sloman joins the ranks after a dramatic King Hamad Cup play-off victory over Morocco's Hugo Trommetter. Ali Al Kowari also secured a spot in the Bahrain Championship as the second-ranked Bahraini player, while Le Falher has already qualified.

“Earning my qualification through the Bahrain Amateur Open and King Hamad Cup feels like the culmination of many years of dedication.

Ali Al Kowari to become another Bahraini golfer at Royal Golf Club
Al Kowari said: “Thanks to the Bahrain Golf Federation, I am delighted to have the opportunity to participate in such a prestigious event alongside many top professionals from around the world.
“It wasn’t easy to get this spot, but through hard work and game preparation, I made it.
“I'm now putting in more practice and effort to be at the top of my game in order to represent Bahrain in the best possible way. I'm really looking forward to participating in this elite tournament and competing against a completely different class of players.”
Daji Khalifa, Vice Chairman of the Bahrain Golf Association, added: “It’s great to see the Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship becoming a popular stop on the DP World Tour International Swing and attracting an audience including former Grand Slam champions in such a short space of time of top players.

The event is one of eight events on the international swing circuit, following the Team Cup, the Hero Dubai Desert Classic (the first Rolex Series event of the season) and the Ras Al Khaimah Championship.
