The DP World Tour continues this week at a stunning array of golf courses, with Le Golf National hosting the 2024 FedEx French Open.
The historic venue hosted the 2018 Ryder Cup and the 2024 Summer Olympics. This week it will be home to the continent's oldest national open tournament.
All that history didn't faze 16-year-old Lev Grinberg, who shot a 5-under 66 on Thursday to tie four others for fourth, Bitol The three-way lead held by Thorbjorn Olesen was one shot behind. Joe Dean and Jasper Swenson. Greenberg made back-to-back birdies on Nos. 6 through 8 and then on Nos. 14 through 16.
“It's definitely some experience,” he said. “I worked hard and had a lot of fun today. I stuck to my game plan. My mentality was really good a few weeks ago and a few days leading up to this event.
“Playing at the Olympic Golf Course, playing at any of the DP World Tour venues, it's great, and you just play with the pros. I'm lucky.”
Greenberg reached the round of 16 at the U.S. Junior Amateur before losing to Vietnam's Nguyen Anh Minh at Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, in July.
This week, he's making sure he stays relaxed.
“I'm definitely going to have a good rest now. Do my normal daily routine. Play table tennis with friends in the evening. Have a good sleep. Watch Netflix. Train, eat and yes, same game plan tomorrow, see what happens What.”
