Kenya Open: Muthiga Golf Club
The Muthaiga GC has been around since the 1920s, but the Kenya Open was there until the 1967th Kenya Open, and it wasn't until 1967 that the first major golf championship was held. Since then, Kenya has held 42 more times in Muthaiga, 10 of which were held at Karen Country Club in the suburbs of Nairobi.
Muthaiga was redesigned by renowned South African architect Peter Matkovich between 2001 and 2004, and members are keen to see “the fastest vegetable in East Africa”. It also incorporates many lakes and ponds throughout the property, adding another layer of complexity to golfers.
The championship course itself was performed with 7,208 yards of 71, rough rough, a series of bunkers and small but fast vegetables. It winds through the lush woodlands of the Karula Forest and is home to monkeys and a large number of birds and various other wildlife.
Winning scores in the past few years are in the range of 14 to 18 strokes, and the total of 18 holes will usually drop to the 60s once the player finds his pace.

Favorites: Brandon Robinson Thompson (+5500)
The British is in good shape and therefore has the possibility of a first win on the DP World Tour. Robinson-Thompson finished third in the Qatar Masters after he recently finished his T8 title in Bahrain.
He has won four wins in the Challenge, Mena and Europro Tours over the past three seasons and based on his recent results, it is certainly his breakthrough in the DP World Tour Time question.
Outsider: Connor Syme (+5000)
Syme was here at T7th last year, and he finished just four games in Darius van Driel and third in 2021, so hopefully he will be smooth again this year.
The Scotsman, who scored a challenge victory and three DP World Tour runner-ups, started in 2025 with three straight layoffs, resulting in between 22 and 34th. Apparently, he played golf so on the past field it had a chance to go back to a great venue.

Favorites: Eugenio Chacarra (+3500)
Espanyol returned to the DP World Tour this week and returned with three top six in his last three matches, Saudi International and International Series) and I want to compete again at the Kenya Open.
Chacarra performed well, in the process of having to fit his game, especially when the 24-year-old had 78.17% driving accuracy and 322.18 yards on the tee. Essentially, I hope he can surpass Muthaiga Golf Club.
Outsider: Eddie Pepperell (+10000)
In sixth place in the tie for NTT data Pro-AM (Challenge Journey) last week on the Hotelplanner Tour, Pepperell appears to have recreated some form as he also earned the ninth field in Afrasia Bank Mauritius Open tie. December.
Last year, the British man finished the top 20 outside of the top 20 in this tournament and with 63% driving accuracy, he had a game to beat the Round Muthaiga golf course, which was the DP World Tour Tour One of the short layouts. Given his recent forms and results, Pepperell is probably the one to watch in Kenya.

Favorites: Eugenio Chacarra (+3500)
This caught my interest when I saw the former LIV player’s name on the court because he is a designer player who wants to rebuild his career after the spell of the 54-hole Tour. Chacarra has the desire to participate in the PGA Tour, and if he wants to achieve this, at least in such an event, it should be expected, not hope.
Chacarra has achieved results in the last three games in the T5, T5th and T5, but if he is to win this week, he will have to master his important strength to support accuracy.
Outsider: Brandon Robinson Thompson (+5500)
The British has been fighting for work for the past two starts, but has not finished the job. But if you've seen Robinson Thompson recently, you know his game was there to win.
Despite his recent record of several layoffs, I think he seems to have turned the corner and probably enjoyed his chance to be great again in Kenya.
