His return to the tour has been noteworthy as his three starts have brought his total to four this year, ensuring he retains his DP World Tour membership and thus qualifies for next year's Ryder Cup. After fulfilling his quota, Rahm decided to bypass the playoffs.
Alaia, Rahm and his wife Kelley are enjoying some family time following the recent birth of their third child. Just days after Araya's arrival, the XIII Legion leader had to fly back to Europe for his home game in Spain.
“We were so blessed to welcome our daughter Alayah Cahill Ram into the world last week,” Lahm declared on social media, adding happily, “Mom and baby girl are wonderful. Healthy and in great condition, I can’t wait to get home and see them.”
Despite earning a playoff berth, Jon Rahm has chosen not to play in the DP World Tour's Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship next week. The DP World Tour season concludes in the Middle East this month, kicking off with a trip to Abu Dhabi and culminating in the finale of the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai.
The top 70 players will qualify for the Abu Dhabi event, with Lahm finishing the regular season in a commendable 34th place. However, the former Masters champion will not take part in the $9m (£7m) tournament after his name was apparently not included in the tournament entry list released earlier this week.
Previously, Rahm competed in three DP World Tour events in recent weeks. After spending most of his time at LIV Golf, the XIII captain returned at the Spanish Open and competed in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship and the Andalusia Masters.
After completing his tour, Rahm will now enjoy some family life as the LIV Tour will not resume until February 2025.
Despite Lahm's exit, LIV's presence will still be felt in the Abu Dhabi playoffs as Lahm's XIII teammate Tyrell Hatton prepares for the tournament, which will require four events Stay qualified for the Ryder Cup.
Additionally, the presence of Joaquin Niemann and Adrian Meronk on the greens generated buzz. Last week, Meronque confirmed to Gulf News that “Joaquin Niemann will compete in the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and DP World Tour Championship” while announcing his own participation.
