England's John Parry ended a 14-year wait with a stunning final-round 64 at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open on Sunday to win his second DP World Tour event champion.
Parry's last win on the DP World Tour was the Vivendi Cup in 2010 aged just 23, before a lengthy spell on the Challenge Tour and European Pro Tour A dip in form and a long period of time.
Meanwhile, the man from Harrogate, Yorkshire, has only had success at the 2021 Camberwell Park Championship on the European Pro Tour, returning to the winner's circle four times in 2024, largely Rediscovered the best in myself.
The first three matches were played on the Challenge Tour. After securing promotion and returning to the top seats of European golf, the 38-year-old Parry wasted no time to attack again, shooting 14 under par at Mont Choisy, Won by two strokes.
Parry started Sunday's match five shots behind the leader but quietly got off to a strong start before blowing out on the back nine. He reached the turn in 34 and then finished the round in just 30, aided by a deft chip-in eagle on No. 12.

Parry highlighted the moment after the game, saying: “It's been a challenging week all week, but number 12 really gave me some momentum for the rest of the round. So that was a real pivotal moment. ”
“That eagle there gave me a little spark and a couple good opportunities came up. I really didn't miss a shot, so that was really key.”
When overnight leaders Eddie Pepperell and Dylan Naidoo faltered slightly, Parry seized the opportunity and in a series of excellent holes he finished on 13th, 14th, 16th and Birdie on 18th hole.
As the final putt fell and Parry's victory was confirmed, the Briton revealed the moment almost didn't happen because he considered leaving professional golf a few years ago.
Parry described the win as “huge” and revealed: “I don't know how long ago – five or six years ago, maybe not even that long – I was back on the European Pro Tour and I almost gave up after the win Golf. I was 23, so it was a long battle, but it was worth every moment of the week.”
