Billy Horschel won the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth for the second time in his career.
The American needed a playoff to beat Rory McIlroy and South Africa's Sriston Lawrence in Surrey.
Lawrence was eliminated on the first playoff hole, but the 37-year-old Horschel drained a fierce eagle putt on the next playoff to upset McIlroy.
McIlroy was soon spotted being comforted by his daughter, Poppy.
As always, this week's Rolex Series event offers huge prize money.
The total purse for the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth is $9 million.
This means that Horshcel has $1,530,000.
