The Olympian's explosiveness has always been one of his signature skills. He leads the DP World Tour in driving distance, averaging 328.71 yards compared to his peers' 301.62 yards.
McIlroy has a tour-best average score of 68.50 in the 12 events he has played this year, nearly two strokes behind the average score on the field. Although his putt came under scrutiny on social media for briefly missing the 72nd hole of the 2024 U.S. Open, the numbers suggest otherwise. The 18-time DP World Tour champion averaged 1.72 putts per green in regulation, ranking seventh in the field and better than the field average.
