Viktor Hovland has won his first victory on the PGA Tour since his 2023 Tour Championship, finishing 86th in the 2025 European Ryder Cup rankings.

If he becomes captain of Luke Donald in Bethpage, New York, his goal will be part of the first-party win over the United States since the Medinah miracle planned by José María Olazábal in 2012.

Hovland started the day with a lead, and the 2023 Ryder Cup champion will find himself twice after two birdies in his first three holes.
But Thomas enjoyed a round of flawless golf, once leading three points in Hovland when he dropped his seventh bird of the day on the Copperhead route at Innisbrook Resort.

“I just played a good shot and made some putts and it was amazing.”
