About the European Trip
The DP World Tour (formerly the European Tour) is the largest professional golf tour in Europe. The tour features a packed schedule of 45 events. In addition to the majors, the DP World Tour also co-hosts other events with the PGA Tour. The European Tour also visits Asia, Africa and the Middle East, hosting at least one event in a total of 25 countries. The DP World Tour offers lower prize money than its American sister tour, but with the introduction of a base salary in 2023, players who play at least 15 events will receive a bonus of at least $150,000. The season finale of the total earnings ranking, the Race to Dubai, will be held in a playoff format after five “Global Swings” and the “Back 9”. The final DP World Tour Championship will determine the season champion in Dubai in November.
