AMSTERDAM — Italy's Guido Migliozzi holed a 7-foot birdie putt on the par-5 18th hole and then made two more birdies in the playoff to win the KLM Open in a three-man playoff on Sunday.
Migliozzi birdied two of his last three holes to finish at 1-under 70, joining Marcus Kinhult of Sweden and Joe Dean of England, who both shot 68 after birdying the 18th hole.
All three players birdied the 18th hole in the first playoff, but the Italian was the only one to birdie the second, two-putting from about 60 feet to win his first DP World Tour title in nearly two years.
He has now won four European Tour titles.
Migliozzi and Dean earned their spots in next month's British Open at Royal Troon via Open Qualifying, with Dean earning an exemption by beating Kim Holt on the strength of his better world ranking.
Dean shot 30 on the back nine holes of the International and became the first player to shoot 11 under at 273. Kim Holt birdied the 16th and 17th holes to get to 11 under, but his ball landed in a bunker to the right of the green. He hit it only 55 feet and had to make a 6-foot par to catch Dean.
Rasmus Hojgaard of Denmark needed an eagle on his final shot to force a playoff but missed a 50-footer and finished with a 70, tying him for fourth with Andrea Pavan of France (65).
Mikko Korhonen of Finland, the 54-hole leader, shot 75 and tied for eighth.
