A commentator on Fox Sports Australia sent fans into a tizzy this week when he made an awkward reference to “unusual-shaped” greens during the DP World Championship.
The commentator, believed to be Dominik Holyer, saw a long shot off the green on the 17th hole at the Dubai Course, just after Rory McIlroy's shot .
Houllier spared no expense in the configuration of the front of the green, which looks like a man's complete genitalia.
“What an unusually shaped green,” the commentator said.
Fans on TV giggled at the joke, which didn't appear to have aired.
It all takes place at the Jumeirah Golf Estates Earth Course in Dubai at the final event of the DP World Tour calendar.
Rory McIlroy trails leader by one shot at DP World Tour Championship in Dubai
But a golf commentator on Fox Sports Australia made a joke about the shape of the 17th hole
After the second round, Frenchman Antoine Rozner ranked first with a score of 9 under par. McIlroy and Tyrrell Hatton were both one shot behind.
McIlroy has succeeded at this event twice – in 2012 and 2015.
As for Hatton, he has finished runner-up twice – most recently in 2022 – but has never won the event.
Entering the event, McIlroy held a more than 1,700-point lead over second-placed Thriston Lawrence of South Africa in Dubai.
