INFINITUM, a 45-hole golf, leisure and real estate destination on Spain's Gold Coast, is preparing to host the DP World Tour Qualifying Schools Final for the sixth consecutive year.
The match, which will take place from November 8 to 13, marks the first time the newly upgraded Lakes Stadium will welcome stars following this year's €800,000 refurbishment.
The Greg Norman-designed layout is taken to new heights with pristine new Zoysia grass and redesigned bunkers that promise to provide a fresh challenge for hopefuls.
Several DP World Tour stars, including former Ryder Cup player Edoardo Molinari, will compete in a grueling six-round marathon alongside some of the sport's brightest young stars. Could be career-defining.
Although generally suitable for players of all skill levels, this Spanish resort's two 18-hole courses are a serious test of championship conditions and guarantee an exciting week of golf. Before promotion, teams will play four alternating rounds – two each on the Mountain Course and the Lakes Course, after which the surviving players will play the final two rounds on the Lakes Course. Only the top 25 players and ties will receive priceless DP World Tour cards for next season.
Following the Lakeland renovation, work will begin on a similar renovation of Hills Course shortly after the end of Q School, with the construction of a composite course that will include the nine-hole ruins (also designed by Norman) and the front nine of Hills Course. Open to play.
European Golf Design is led by Dave Sampson, designer of the 2023 Ryder Cup Marco Simone course in Rome, due to begin in December 2024 Renovation work will continue until early 2026.
Joaquín Mora Bertrán, Deputy General Manager of INFINITUM Golf, Beach Club and Catering, said: “It is a pleasure to welcome the DP World Tour to host the Qualifying Schools Finals here for the sixth consecutive year and we are excited to get started. Another exciting week of golf.
“While our courses are designed to be suitable for novices and Grand Slam champions alike, make no mistake – under tournament conditions they present a serious challenge even for seasoned professionals. Players must perform at their best to Get your DP World Tour card and we can’t wait to see who rises to the challenge!”
Looking ahead to next year, INFINITUM will host the ECCO Tour in February and March, hosting three counting events in two weeks for Scandinavia's premier professional golf tour.
