The first round of the KLM Open gets underway in Amsterdam on Thursday.
This weekend, the KLM Open will be held at the International Golf Club in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The event is part of the DP World Tour and has a par of 71 and a prize pool of $2.5 million. The field includes several well-known players and the competition is very competitive. The defending champion is Pablo Larrazábal.

Larrazabal will return to the Netherlands this week hoping he can etch his name on the trophy again and become Spain's three-time champion in the past five years. Eight Spaniards have won the title before, including legendary Seve Ballesteros, who won it three times.
Alex Fitzpatrick and Rasmus Hoegaard are young competitors to watch. Hoegaard has proven that he can win on the DPWT, while Fitzpatrick has yet to win, he has shown some of his abilities and has some great results.
