Tom McKibbin believes U.S. courses should suit his game after receiving his PGA Tour card for next season.
The 21-year-old from Northern Ireland, tied for 11th at the DP World Tour Championship, birdied the final hole to beat Briton Jordan Smith for the final of 10 cards.
“It would be great to go out there and play golf,” he said.
“I seem to like playing on the harder courses and I think that suits my game better.
“It will be exciting to go out there and see how things go.”
McKibbin entered the season finale at Jumeirah Golf Estates needing to overtake another PGA Tour player but was in a good position after shooting a 67 on Saturday.
However, bogeys on the 15th and 16th holes on Sunday left him needing to pull back a stroke, and he mustered up the courage to find the birdie he needed on the 18th.
“I think it's a tough match and I want to finish it as best as I can because I know it's a tough golf course and a really tricky day,” he said.
“Especially 17 and 18, I don't think you need to hit the ball too badly to find water, but luckily I hit it pretty well.”
