As the Race to Dubai heats up with the Czech Masters, the DP World Tour returns after nearly a month-long hiatus, with tournaments taking place on new courses, a strong field and a host of Grand Slam champions.
The DP World Tour returns to action at the Czech Masters after a nearly month-long hiatus. Before the major championships and co-sanctioned US events took over, the tour's last regular event was the BMW International Open, won by Evan Ferguson in early July.
Since then, Xander Schauffele has won the Royal Troon Open, becoming the first man to win two majors in the same year, while Scottie Scheffler has added another title to his impressive 2024 season by winning Olympic gold.
The DPWT travels to the Czech Republic this week for the tenth edition of the D+D Czech Masters, which is being held for the first time at the PGA National Oaks in Prague.
The tournament is the penultimate event in the tour’s five-event “Global Swing,” which kicks off in November 2023 with the Fortinet Australian PGA Championship.
Fast forward nine months and the race for the Race to Dubai title is heating up ahead of the final months of the season.
Last year, Todd Clements won his first DPWT title at the tournament, defeating Matt Wallace with a stunning 63 in the final.
Despite its relatively short history, the Czech Masters is now one of Europe's top tournaments, always full of drama. In fact, nine out of ten winners win by two strokes or less.
Who will win in Prague this time?

Where is the D+D Royal Czech Masters held?
Albatross Golf Resort has hosted nine editions of the tournament before 2023, but this year a new venue will serve as host.
PGA National Oaks will host the Czech Masters for the first time in 2024. The 7,613-yard, par-72 course, which only opened in 2020, was designed by renowned golf course architect Kyle Phillips, who also designed Kingsbarns, California Golf Links and South Korea’s Namkok Golf Links, all three of which are ranked among the top 100 courses in the world.
PGA National Oaks Golf Resort is undoubtedly a fitting choice to replace Albatross Golf Resort this year, considering it has been voted the best golf course in the Czech Republic at the World Golf Awards for the past four years.
Paul Dennis, Director of PGA National Golf Clubs, is delighted with the tournament taking place at the course, saying: “Hosting the 2024 D+D REAL Czech Masters is the next step in our development.
“The course is always prepared to a championship standard and we look forward to seeing how the players perform this week on this wonderful Kyle Phillips golf course.”
What is the format of the D+D Czech Royal Masters?
The Czech Masters is a regular stroke play tournament of 72 holes, with elimination after 36 holes (two rounds) and the top 65 players advancing to the final two rounds. The player with the lowest score in the four rounds will win the tournament.
Who will play at the D+D Royal Czech Masters?
The field includes three major champions: Danny Willett, Francesco Molinari and Jason Dufner, who also received an invitation to compete in Prague.
Defending champion Clements is aiming for his second straight win in this tournament, while Evan Ferguson, who recently captured the DPWT Regular Season title in Europe, is chasing his fourth tour victory.
European Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald will also be in action, making his second appearance at the Czech Masters. Ryder Cup qualifying doesn't start until the British Masters at the end of the month, but Donald will be keeping a close eye on potential newcomers in Prague.

Perhaps more important are the Race to Dubai points, which will be offered at 3,000 points before the back nine holes begin, jumping to 5,000 points at that point in this week's penultimate event.

Although he picked up a club at the age of 11, he had few highlights on the golf course.
An eagle shot on the par-4 16th at Kinghorn stands out (although it's only 290 yards, so it doesn't matter).
