Spain's Eugenio Chacarra will take a one-shot lead in the final round of the Hero Indian Open, with his goal to win his first DP World Tour title on Sunday.
Chacarra shared the lead with Keita Nakajima in the midway stage, but another tough day at DLF Golf and Country Club, with no two bogeys and no birdies in the first nine games, and took two shots on the turn.
His patience finally paid off as he won his first birdie of 12 feet on the 15th, and despite creating further opportunities, he finished his two-thirds shot home, hitting a blow over Brandon Stone and defending champion Nakajima, who won two night cypresses in his 74.
Chacarra said: “It was a strong wind. It was probably the windiest day we had there, so I knew I needed to have a lot of patience today.

“I think I did a great job. My batting was incredible, like the whole week, so it was great.
“I’m very happy with this score and I think it’s hard to perform. In this course, we know what it is, a bad swing you can get a big number.
“So I’m happy with that, but it’s time to reset, talk to my team and see we can do better for tomorrow.”
England's Matthew Jordan finished with a birdie and ranked fourth in the tie.
Conor Purcell, the only event representative in Ireland, did not advance.
