As the Asian swing took the eyes of the golf world toward the Masters Championship for a two-week break, we looked at what happened on the swing so far and what was going to happen.
Keita Nakajima finishes second in back-to-back events in Singapore and India
Two activities in Asia’s swing have brought us over 2500 miles so far, including two unique cultures, one in a city that just over 6 million and the other in the world’s most populous country with homes of more than 1 billion people.
Both winners claimed to thrill the beauty’s victory in different ways: Richard Mansell’s victory at the Porsche Singapore Classic ended his long wait for the trophy after several consistent seasons, while Eugenio Chacarra won his DP World Tour status and competition status at the Hero Indian Open.
Next, we head to China to get a double mind at the Volvo China Open and Hainan Classics, where more lives and careers can be changed through victory or performances that have won one of the prizes through the Asian swing rankings.

How has it been unfolded so far?
Porsche Singapore Classic
The Asian swing delayed its start at Laguna National as extreme rains saw the first day washed out, but the great efforts of the ground-hitter meant that a 54-hole match could be held a day ago in the underwater course. When the game started, Marcus Armitage and Matthew Jordan made it to the front line with 65 seconds, but Dan Erickson led the final round with Mansell scoring a goal after a 68-66 start. The last birdie was handed over to Mansell in the final round 66 and defeated Keita Nakajima, prompting his 103rd match to start the emotional scene. “This has been a lot of work in the last six months,” he said. “My wife Ellie has been so supportive. I just have to really, be patient and forget everyone else, this is my main job today and focus on myself. Fortunately, I had a chance to give a putt in the last hole to win, and I managed to do it. One thing I want to do is the moment I want to do, it’s the most fulfilling thing today, it’s a fun thing I’ll get a worthwhile reward.”
Hero Indians open
We then head west to the beautiful but cruel DLF G&CC, where Armitage is again standing with Nicolas Colsaerts and Marcus Kinhult, but this 68s will prove to be the second lowest round of the week as conditions get harder in New Delhi. Chacarra shared the lead after 70 points in the second round, but by then everyone was watching him with his top spot in defending champion Nakajima, who scored 66 and three shots than anyone else on Friday. By the time Chacarra was a single-ball-leading third-round shooting percentage, only five players were under PAR, while Invitation won Sunday, scoring 71 in less than four games and scoring two shots, he finished second in the second straight week. Joost Luiten is the only player who ends a week with a red number. “Obviously, I want to thank the heroes for giving me the chance to play,” said Espanyol Chakara. “I'm very grateful for this opportunity. You guys may have changed my life from today, so thank you. I know when I played the best, I'm one of the best players in the world, and I've proved a million times. It's amazing – it's going to need to sink, but it's very proud, but happy.”
Where does it leave the ranking?
Last season, Sebastian Söderberg won the Asian swing with the help of back-to-back runner-up Finshes, and Nakajima is doing the same thing right now, although there is nothing to hint at the moment that there is no victory in China.
He missed Chacarra and Mansell at 778 points, 193 points, but Mansell is now taking five weeks off, including his 30th birthday, and he won't catch up with the Japanese.
Chacarra has no tour status before winning in India, but he can now plan a timeline and have the chance to earn more points with Luiten, who will play in Shanghai and Hainan Island for two weeks.
Back-to-back wins in China can earn 1,170 points, and anyone participating in both events can still win, which will bring in all events in the second phase of the season, defender 9 and $200,000 in prize money.
On the swing alone, the top three players in Nakajima, Chacarra and Mansell will also win a spot in the US PGA Championship, while the top players in the ranking who have not yet been exempted will win their place in the second Rolex series of the season – Genesis Scottish Open.
All Dubai games will take over the Asian swing in all competitions in Singapore Classics, Heroes India Open, Volvo China Open and Hainan Classics. Points earned in the Masters Championship are not counted in the swing rankings.

Outstanding swing
While everyone in China still wins a math swing in both events, some have better chances than others. Some people impress people without having to crack the upper level of rankings. Here we look at some players who stand out and still have the chance to win everything.
Keita Nakajima
Where to start, but our leader is the leader on a six-week break from the commercial bank Qatar Masters and said in Singapore that he felt fresh for the swing. He ran there 65 before the British won his final game and shared a second round lead in India, with Chacarra better in the weekend, India's second round lead. He finished second on the swing to Soderbergh last season but will compete in all four games this year without a challenge in China in 2024. He has 6 top dozens of bigs, 16 starting at the 28 dp World Tour, and if he can maintain this level of consistency on the rest of the swings, it will be hard for him to catch.
Eugenio Chacarra
India's victory was Chacarra's life-changing man who had no place on the DP World Tour and struggled to find a venue for the 2025 competition. But after he bought a putter from eBay, he conquered one of the toughest tests of the DP World Tour and now won the Winner's Catering and China. Last week, the World Professional Winning Winner was the second-place amateur golf ranking and college standing out, and he could be ready to rise quickly.
Andreas Halvorsen
The Norwegian won a spot on the 2025 tour with a Hotelplannner Tour Medical waiver, but is now making the most of his opportunities. He is the winner of the Hotel Scale Tour in 2024, finishing the top ten in Mauritius before the holiday break and adding another in India after finishing 56th in Singapore. He is another player who may rise rapidly and has plenty of games to play in the next few weeks.
Edoardo Molinari
Molinari is someone who has achieved enough: the Ryder Cup champion, the vice captain and the three-time DP World Tour champion. He is also a qualified school expert and won a six-round marathon in November only to see him return to the DP World Tour with an injury cut. He started his first season in Singapore and finished the top 50, and he made progress in India's top 10. Now that he is hunting down the Dubai Points Competition and has overcome adversity before, you won't use Asian Swing to start his season.

After two weeks of Masters Championship break, we head to Shanghai, where Anthance Anting Golf Club will host the Volvo China Open.
Adrian Otaegui wants to defend his title, while Haotong Li and Wenyi will host the autonomous crowd as Nakajima defend their swing title.
We then headed to Hainan Island for the first Hainan Classic, Mission Hills Resort Haikou was our venue.
At the end of that week, the champion will be crowned, and three players could have entered the US PGA championship.
