After two days of racing at this week's DP World Tour Genesis Championship, Ahn may be ready to end his win drought.
Ahn shot 67-66 at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club in South Korea and was two shots ahead at 11 under two days later. He opened with a birdie on Friday and has eight birdies in total.
“I feel like I made a lot of 10-, 15-foot putts, so I think that helped with the birdies,” Ahn said. “It wasn’t the easiest putt, but I made some good putts the last two days.”
He went on to talk about the experience of playing in front of fans in his home country.
“I love seeing the fans here cheering for me. Whether things go well for me or not, they're still there,” he said. “It would be nice to hold a trophy at the end of the day, but I haven't played in a championship for five, six years, so all I want to do is show some good golf because they don't see me that often, So I'll try my best and see what happens.”
