The DP World Tour's international swing continues in the UAE, this time with the Ras Al Khaimah Championship, followed by the Team Cup and Hero Dubai Desert Classic.
The event was upgraded from a Challenge Tour event in 2022 to now a regular event on the DPWT calendar, although without Rolex Series status it will inevitably struggle to convince Europe's biggest stars to spend another week in the Middle East. Instead, the likes of McIlroy, Fleetwood, McIntyre and Hovland will head west to begin their PGA Tour activities in the coming weeks.
Last year, Thorbjorn Olesen became only the second person in the event's short-lived DPWT history to lift the trophy, beating compatriot Rasmus Hojgaard by six strokes. The Dane, whose brother Nicolai claimed the inaugural title two years ago.

Where is the Ras Al Khaimah Championship held?
The tournament was held at Al Hamra Golf Club in the capital of the emirate of Khaimah. Designed by Peter Harradine, this 7,378-yard par-72 course is a classic desert track with wide fairways and water on eight holes. The Ras Al Khaimah Championship has a strong field, with defending champion Thorbjorn Olesen joining Rolex Series champions Ryan Fox and Paul Waring as well as major champions Padraig Harrington competes alongside Jimmy Walker. The early front-runners in the Battle of Dubai rankings – John Parry, Johannes Veerman and Australian PGA champion Elvis Smylie – are also there Line up and try to continue a strong start to the season.
