Dubai Schedule 2024 Players face another challenge in links golf this week as three of Scotland’s world-famous courses host the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
Since 2001, the tournament has been held at the Old Course at St Andrews, Kingsbarns and Carnoustie, once again attracting world-class venues with many Grand Slam champions.
These include Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Sean Lowry, Matt Fitzpatrick and Brooks Koepka.
Recent BMW PGA Championship winner Billy Horschel is also in the field, while Tyrrell Hatton is hoping to become the first player to win the title for a third time.
Pádraig Harrington is also seeking a historic third success, joining David Howell as the only two people to have competed in the Alfred Dunhill Links Professional players in every session of the Sri Lankan Championship.

Fantasy Insight: Judging from the popularity among Fantasy users, Horschel was the most drafted player in the early draft, appearing on more than 80% of the teams.
Next up is Lahm, who last week won the Spanish Open in Madrid for the fourth time in the play-offs and was named in nearly 77% of the teams.
Home hero Robert MacIntyre is third with 54%, followed by his 2023 Ryder Cup-winning teammates Hatton and Lowry.
Here, we pick three players worth considering in your fantasy team selections this week.
Favorite – Rory McIlroy
Not surprisingly, we start with the highest-ranked player in the field. McIlroy has finished in the top 10 five times since finishing third in his first appearance at the event as a junior in 2007. That includes three runner-up finishes, while he tied for fourth on his most recent visit in 2022. As well as his extensive record on links layouts, including his victory at the 2014 British Open, the Northern Irishman has competed in the event since his return at the BMW PGA Championship and the Amgen Irish Open Consecutive second place finishes. Apart from missing the cut at the 152nd Open at Royal Troon in July, he has made the cut in nine other starts on the DP World Tour this season.
Horse – Tommy Fleetwood
Fleetwood won the Dubai Invitational at the start of the year and has since finished in the top 10 six times, including at the Olympics. The most recent result, achieved last week at the Spanish Open, moved him back into the top 10 in the Official World Golf Ranking. The Briton has been a regular at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship since 2011 and missed the cut for the first time last year, but he is a two-time runner-up and another player who relishes the challenge of links golf. With qualification for the DP World Tour play-offs already guaranteed, adding another DP World Tour title to his mantelpiece before the end of the year will be at the top of his list of aspirations.
Wild Card – Grant Forrest
Everyone likes to root for their hometown hopes, and Forrest will likely be the one to celebrate at the Swilcan Bridge over the weekend. Earlier this season, from the Hero India Open to the US Open, the Scot failed to make the cut or retired in six of seven tournaments. But he has since competed in eight consecutive weekend events, most notably top-five finishes at the Amgen Irish Open and Spanish Open in Madrid. These results put him in the top 50 on the trip to Dubai, boosting his eligibility for the DP World Tour play-offs at the end of the season. He has finished in the top 10 in each of his last two starts at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. Remembering that his only DP World Tour title to date came at home at the Fairmont Hotel in St Andrews, the 31-year-old deserves serious consideration.
Review – Spanish Open hosted by Madrid
Last week, Spaniard Angel Hidalgo was the surprise winner, having featured in just 2% of the team and making zero captaincy.
For the second week in a row, our favorite Jon Rahm lost out in the playoffs for second place, while Matt Wallace tied for 24th with wild card runner Al Alfredo Garcia-Heredia tied for 10th, his third top-10 finish in as many years. Participated in the National Open for many years.
