1. Adrian Otaegui was born on November 21, 1992 in San Sebastian, Spain.
2. He had a successful amateur career that included 11 wins. One of the highlights was winning the 2010 Men's Amateur Championship.
3. His mentor was José María Olazabal
4. Otaji turned professional in July 2011, initially competing on the Challenge Tour.
5. In 2013, he finished seventh on the money list and received a DP World Tour card for the following season.
6. However, his poor performance led to his quick return to the Challenge Tour. In 2015, he returned to the DP World Tour through Q-school, but lost his eligibility again. Later that year, third time luck struck for Otaji, who once again earned a spot on the DP World Tour for the 2016 season through Q-school.
7. His first professional win came at the 2017 Paul Lawrie Match Play.
8. A year later, Otaji played in his first PGA Championship and finished tied for 65th.
9. Otaji participated in the inaugural season of LIV Golf in 2022, but was suspended from four matches by the DP World Tour.
10. In October 2022, he competed in the historic Andalusia Masters in Valderrama with a four-round total of 265, 19 under par. It set a new tournament scoring record.
11. Less than two weeks after this win, news broke that Otaji would be returning to LIV Golf for the 2022 Team Championship at Trump National Doral.
12. His highest world ranking was No. 64 in February 2019.
