The DP World Tour has today announced the “opening tournament” for its 2025 season, which will feature five tournaments in the Southern Hemisphere.
Dubai 2025 competition will be BMW Australian PGA Championship Held at the Royal Queensland Golf Club in Brisbane from November 21-24, 2024, this is the first of two consecutive events co-sanctioned with the Australian Challenger PGA Tour. It will be followed by ISPS Handa Australian Open The event was held from November 28 to December 1 at Kingston Heath Golf Club and Victoria Golf Club in Melbourne.
From Australia, DP World Tour returns to South Africa Nedbank Golf Challenge Remembering Gary Player The event was held Dec. 5-8 at Gary Player Country Club in Sun City.
The opening season ends with two consecutive events co-sanctioned with the Sunshine Tour: Alfred Dunhill Championship December 12-15 at Leopard Creek Country Club in Maryland; then AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open It will be held at Mont Choisy Le Golf from December 19 to 22.
The first round of the tour, which debuts in 2024, is the first of five global tours in the first phase of the DP World Tour global schedule. Each global tour has its own special features and champions, as well as exemptions to the Rolex Series and the “Back 9” in the second phase of the season. Players will then compete in the “Back 9” events to secure a spot in the DP World Tour Playoffs at the end of the season.
The full DP World Tour 2025 global schedule will be announced later this year.
