The 2024 Road to Mallorca has entered its final stages, with four players vying for their third win of the season and automatic qualification to the DP World Tour.
Here are four players who have the chance to join the select few who have earned a spot on golf's global tour the quickest way possible…
Rasmus Niergaard Petersen
Rasmus Niergaard-Petersen currently sits at the top of the rankings, a position he has held since claiming his second win of the season at the Abu Dhabi Challenge in April.
The Dane won by one stroke at Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, just over a month after his maiden title at the Kolkata Challenge. He has added four more top-10 finishes this season, showing he is ready for the DP World Tour.
The 25-year-old further demonstrated his ability at the Denmark Golf Championship two weeks ago, where he finished tied for 19th, giving fans a glimpse of his style.
John Parry
John Parry had gone 13 years without a win since lifting the Vivendi Cup in 2010, but the drought ended in 2024 when the Englishman returned to the winner's circle at the fifth tournament of the season, the Delhi Challenge. That victory was followed by another dramatic play-off win at the French Open de Brittany.
Parry currently sits second in the Road to Mallorca rankings and looks set to return to the DP World Tour next year, and despite having two top-10 finishes since winning his second title in June, there is every chance he could return to the DP World Tour before the end of the season.
Joel Moscatelle
Joel Moscatel made headlines in November 2023 when he tied the course record with a 63 in the opening round of the Fortinet Australian PGA Championship (the first event of the DP World Tour’s 2024 Race to Dubai) and finished in a tie for seventh.
It was a foreshadowing for the Spaniard, who recorded a fairytale victory on home soil at the Spanish Challenge in May and followed it up with a play-off win at the Le Vaudreuil Golf Challenge a month later.
The 25-year-old is now all but guaranteed promotion to the DP World Tour next season.
Joakim Lagergren
Joakim Lagergren recently won the Indoor Golf Group Challenge on home soil, becoming the latest two-time winner of the 2024 Road to Mallorca.
The win capped a memorable month for the Swede, who finished second at the Black Desert NI Open hosted by Tom McKibbin this month and tied the course record with a nine-under 61 in the third round.
He went one better the following week at the Irish Challenge, winning his first Challenge Tour title in nearly a decade and capping off a memorable two weeks on the island of Ireland.
Ragergren has competed in 262 DP World Tour events since 2010, winning his first title at the 2018 Roccoforte Sicily Open, and will be eager to secure his third win of the year to ensure a return to the stage as soon as possible.
