First round of action 2024 Amgen Irish Open The competition kicks off on Thursday morning (September 12) and runs until Sunday, with the championship to be decided at the spectacular Royal County Down Club in Newcastle.
Two of the players confirmed to play are local favorite Shane Lowry and 2019 Open championwho is determined to recapture the title he first won as an amateur in 2009, while Rory McIlroy will also return home to Northern Ireland.
As well as McIlroy and Lowry who will attract interest, other members of Ireland’s golfing elite include Padraig Harrington, Seamus Bauer, and Tom McGibbon will be part of another star-studded line-up for the National Open on his home turf.

The Irish team will be joined by multiple European Tour winners Tommy Fleetwood from England, the 2021 champion is from Australia Lucas Herbertand recent PGA Tour champions Aaron Rai, Thomas Detrie, and Eric Van Rooyen.
