The latest tournament of the DP World Tour season is the Denmark Golf Championship, which will be held for the first time at the Lübke Golf Resort.
In 2023, the tournament was named “Made in Himmerland” and at that tournament, Rasmus Hojgaard defeated Nacho Elvira in a tight six-hole playoff in his home country to take home the first prize of $552,500 from a purse of $3.25 million.
This year, the total purse is down $750,000 to $2.5 million, meaning the winner will only take home $425,000. However, that's far from the only financial reward for this week's contestants.
This tournament is the final event of the season finale and, like the others so far, features a single tournament with a $200,000 prize for the winner, in addition to a berth at the next Rolex Series event, the BMW PGA Championship and every lucrative back-nine event.
Robert MacIntyre will play in the FedEx Cup Playoffs BMW Championship this week, and he currently leads the standings thanks to his win at the Genesis Scottish Open in July.
The highest ranked player this week is David Ravetto at No. 4, who captured his first DP World Tour title at last week's D+D Royal Czech Masters.
The tournament will also offer 3,000 Race to Dubai points as players continue their journey towards the season-long DP World Tour playoffs.

Who are the stars of the Denmark Golf Championship?
Defending champion Rasmus Hogaard is one of the biggest names in the field, seeking his fifth DP World Tour title. He will be joined by his brother Nikolai, who failed to reach the points needed to advance to the PGA Tour's FedEx Cup playoffs.
The Hoegaard brothers are just two of a field of Danes this week that includes eight-time DP World Tour champion Thorbjorn Olesen, Race to Dubai No. 38 Niklas Norgaard and Soren Kjeldsen, who recently became the fourth player in DP World Tour history to reach 700 starts. Nacho Elvira, the player Rasmus beat last year, is also in the mix.
Another player to watch is David Ravetto, winner of last week's D+D Royal Czech Masters, who finished with a brilliant 64 in that tournament and clinched his first DP World Tour title nine months after earning his DP World Tour card through Q-school.
Other big names in the field include Italian Open champion Marcel Siem, Bahrain Championship winner Dylan Frittelli and Volvo China Open champion Adrian Otaegui.
What is the prize money for the Denmark Golf Championship?
Players are competing for a $2.5 million prize, with the winner taking home $425,000. Defending champion Rasmus Hojgaard is one of the players hoping to take home that prize, having defeated Nacho Elvira in a 2023 playoff.
Who will play in the Denmark Golf Championship?
Not surprisingly, many of Denmark's top players are in attendance, including defending champion Rasmus Hojgaard, twin brother Nicolai and eight-time DP World Tour champion Thorbjorn Olesen. Amateur champion Jacob Skov Olesen is also worth keeping an eye out for. Meanwhile, the tournament chairman is one of Denmark's greatest ever players, Thomas Bjorn, who will also be in action.
