After a two-week break from the Olympics, the DP World Tour resumes with a trip to the Czech Republic for the D+D Royal Czech Masters.
Last year, the title race became a battle between two Brits, with Todd Clements finally getting his first win on tour with what he called the best round of his life, beating Matt Wallace by one shot. That netted him $340,000 of the $2 million purse, but this year there's more money on the line.
The tournament celebrated its 10th anniversary, moved to a new venue, PGA National OAKS Prague, and increased the purse to $2.5 million, meaning the winner will receive $425,000.
This tournament is also the penultimate event of the season. The winner of the Denmark Golf Championship next week will receive a $200,000 bonus and qualify for the next Rolex Series, BMW PGA Championship and the Back 9 event.
Robert MacIntyre leads with his victory in the first closing swing event, the Genesis Scottish Open. However, this week he will play in the first event of the PGA Tour FedEx Cup Playoffs, the FedEx St. Jude Championship. D+D The highest ranked player in the Czech Masters is Romain Langasque, who is fourth.
In addition, 3,000 Race to Dubai points and world ranking points will be awarded.
